I will be happy to! I wasn’t asked for the pattern until after I had made this on so I don’t have pictures of my process, but am about to make a few more so I’ll document it for you and update the pother 🙂
That’s a good question, and I’m too new at WordPress to know the answer. Let me try and reconfigure it as a Word document or PDF file and get back to you.
Absolutely! Feel free to email me at theknottyredhead@gmail.com and provide your paypal email address (or whatever payment method you choose) and the address where you’d like it shipped and I’ll send an invoice 🙂 Thank you for your interest!
For round 2 when you say repeat round 1 are you still skipping the first chain (stitch) also what are you starting/ending with a SC or a HDC? Thank you for the pattern 💓
Hello! Yes, I skip the first chain at the beginning of each row. Each row begins with a sc and ends wroth a hdc. Basically, you’ll work a hdc into each sc and vice versa. Hope that helped. I am SOOO not a professional pattern writer. I usually just make things p as I go.
Hello Teri! Sorry for the late reply. In my experience, the curls end up being around 18″ long but that will vary based on how tightly you crochet. If you would like to make them longer or shorter, just add or take away chains from the beginning chain of each curl.
I just finished one! The pattern was so easy to understand. And I’m pattern challenged! I added bangs, and more in the back, I’m going to make them for cancer children, the band is so nicely padded, I thought it would feel comforting. Thank you again for sharing this pattern!
Hi, Rita! I’m sorry you’re having trouble. I saw your message asking about a video tutorial and that is officially on my to-do list for this week! I will let you know when it’s up 🙂
It would be making if you could make a video tutorial for this! It’s wonderful and I would love to make one I’m just not as good at reading instructions as I am seeing. 🙂
I’ll be making this for my granddaughter as soon as I get the yarn. I thank you so much for making this a free pattern, so I can give her this gift. She’s gonna be thrilled!
Hello Trudy! The ears are meant to come out cone shaped, so you’re not doing anything wrong. Once you finish the ears, you whip stitch along the bottom to close them up, then sew it to the headband. Hope that helps
Hi, absolutely brilliant pattern, I made it up last night and its perfect. I was asked where I got the pattern in a crochet group I belong too, may I please share?
Thank you so much, Sue! Yes, you may absolutely share this anywhere you like! Sorry for the delayed response, I’ve been working on a website for my patterns and video tutorials so I will have more content for you soon. I’ll keep you updated when I have it up and running
I used your pattern. I love it and the finished product! I would like to post my finished product on my crochet Facebook page with credit linking to your page. Would that be ok with you?
Hello Megan! I would be totally flattered if you shared my pattern 🙂 I apologize for taking so long to get back to you, I’m building a new website complete with new original patterns and video tutorials. I’ll let you know when it’s live! Thank you for the compliment
so love this, making one for my grandaughter, for the curls are your chains tight at the start? mine dont seem to be as beautifully curved as yours. thank you
Hi, Anne! They definitely didn’t start off looking that way – it took a little twisting. Blocking also helps: just twist them around your finger until they look the way you want, then gently spray them with a spray bottle and let them air dry. This method will help keep them curly and bouncy and can be repeated as often as needed. More original patterns and video tutorials coming soon! xoxo
Thank you sharing this xx I want to make some for sale .To raise funds for a special school for children with a disability. I hope that’s ok thanks again I love it Cheers
please, please blog some more of your crochet makes I absolutely adore looking at your makes and your better at this pattern writing thing than you realise.
I have ordered some yarn (not that I needed any more but it was the perfect excuse!!!) and I am going to make these for my children’s school to help raise much needed funds! thank you ever so much. I look forwards to seeing some more animal type headband loveliness.

The main part fits a 1/2 inch headband, not a one inch headband. With a one inch headband it barely covers the top.
